my composition for the first image was a graduation hat rotated four times to create the illusion of squares of empty white space. the assignment we had to do today was interesting. i liked the fact that we had to rotate the original image in different combinations. im not sure what combination i like most but im sure the more i look at them the more ill be able to decide.
i don't completely understand the parameters for this assignment so im waiting for to talk to Pat about it to print.

This is essentially a unit with excellent potential for variation, and you have done a great job thinking through varied configurations. But it would be even more interesting if you took one of the straight edges all the way to the edge of your unit, so they would butt and form larger shapes--and negative spaces.
